On March 27, Yin Chengwu, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia met with H.E. Mr. Andy Brooks, new United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Representative to Liberia. The two sides exchanged views on promoting international development cooperation.

Ambassador Yin welcomed Mr. Brooks to take up his new post and introduced important concepts such as the community with a shared future for mankind and the Global Development Initiatives. He said that China, as a responsible major country and a developing country, is willing to work with international partners such as UNICEF to carry out trilateral cooperation to help African countries such as Liberia to  develop.

Mr. Brooks appreciated China's efforts to promote global development and said that UNICEF looks forward to more cooperation with China to promote new progress in child protection in Liberia.
