On November 28, Ambassador Yin Chengwu attended the “Chinese Ambassador’s Scholarship” awarding ceremony.

Ambassador Yin expressed his warm congratulations to the award-winning students and noted that the “Chinese Ambassador’s Scholarship” not only had encouraged the students to work hard and helped them realize their dreams, but also sown the seeds of friendship between China and Liberia. At present, China is vigorously implementing the Global Civilization Initiative put forward by President Xi Jinping, and continuously pursuing high-level opening up, which provides new opportunities for China-Liberia educational exchanges and cooperation. Ambassador Yin also sincerely hopes that Liberian young students will learn Chinese language and culture, and strive to become a new generation of envoys of friendship between the two countries.

Representatives of University of Liberia, Tubman University,  Cuttington University and Bomi Community College thanked China for providing selfless support to Liberia's education as well as economic and social development, commended the role of the “Chinese Ambassador’s Scholarship” of supporting Liberia’s education and talent program, and encouraged the award-winning students to cherish the opportunity and study hard to make contributions to Liberia's national construction.
