On September 26, 2023, Chinese Ambassador-designate to Liberia, H.E. Mr. Yin Chengwu arrived in Liberia, and was greeted at the airport by Mr. Lawrence Felix Amajie, Deputy Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, and other relevant officials, representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Liberia, and representatives of the Chinese enterprises and overseas Chinese in Liberia.

Mr. Amajie, on behalf of the Liberian government, warmly welcomed Ambassador Yin's designation in the country and expressed that the Liberian side attaches great importance to Liberia-China relations and is willing to actively facilitate and support the ambassador's work, so as to jointly promote the positive and healthy development of the bilateral relations.

Ambassador Yin thanked the Liberian side for their warm welcome and said that China and Liberia are good friends and partners. He is very pleased and honored to serve as Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, and looks forward to working with all sectors in Liberia to consolidate friendship and mutual trust, deepen cooperation, actively promote people to people exchange, strengthen mutual support, and push forward the continuous development of China-Liberia relations for the benefit of the two peoples.

Ambassador Yin also said that he will actively practice the principle of "People-centered Diplomacy" and serve the Chinese community in Liberia.
