Ambassador ZHAO Jianhua Presented Copy of Credentials to Liberian Foreign Minister

Monrovia, Liberia, May 2, 2011--H.E. ZHAO Jianhua, the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, has presented the copy of his credentials to H.E. Toga G. McIntosh, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia, on Monday, May 2, 2011, at the Complex of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Counselor LI Zhigong, Head of the Chancery of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, also presented at the ceremony.

On his part, the Liberian Foreign Minister, Mr. McIntosh, expressed his warm welcome to Ambassador ZHAO, and spoke highly of the China-Liberia bilateral relations. According to Minister McIntosh, Liberia-China relations have been enjoying rapid development in recent years and there have been countless fruitful results out of excellent bilateral cooperation between Liberia and China. Minister McIntosh continued, as Liberian Foreign Minister, he endeavors to keep such good momentum between two countries to consolidate and expand the bilateral cooperation up to a new height. To this aim, he will fully support Ambassador ZHAO’s work during his mission in Liberia, for a harmonious work relationship, by his words.

In response, Ambassador ZHAO expressed his deep appreciation towards Minister McIntosh’s kind remarks and timely arrangement of his presentation of copy of credentials. The highest Chinese envoy in Liberia also expressed his satisfaction towards the existing good relations between China and Liberia, by saying, China puts focus on the China-Liberia relations and is willing to work with Liberian side closely to deepen the China-Liberia friendship and cooperation in all fields. As the new Chinese Ambassador, I will try my best to work with Liberian side for the betterment of the bilateral relations between our two countries, Ambassador ZHAO remarked.
