| Chinese Citizens Crave Swift Trial |

Chinese living in Liberia, the People's Republic of China and those believed to be family of the late Princess Jiang Chongyu are calling for the speedy trial of the alleged murderer of their friend, citizen and relative. Students of the China-Aided-Bamboo and Rattan Weaving Technical Cooperation Training Center based at the Samuel K.Doe Sports Complex have also added their voice to the appeal. The students said delay in adjudicating the case, already in court, might impede the good relationship between Liberia and the People's Republic of China. In an interview with The Analyst Monday in Monrovia, a Chinese citizen a former friend, co-worker and boss of the late Princess told said the family of the deceased is extremely worried over the trend of the trial and wants the Liberian government to prosecute the alleged murderer as soon as possible. The victim (Princess Chong Yu) was a Bamboo and Rattan Weaving Expert, was sent to Liberia by her government to provide skill training for Liberians but was allegedly hacked to death in cold blood by a Liberian national in July of 2007. The accused, Mohammed Konneh, allegedly stabbed the late Princess Chong Yu to death with a kitch,en knife. Mr.Li Chonglin, boss of China-Aided-Bamboo and Rattan Weaving Technical Cooperation Team, with which the late Princess worked as skill trainer, told this Paper that the Chinese are grieving over the death of their citizen. He said immediate family members are disappointed with the delay of the trial of the accused murderer. "Her mother, father, husband, son and other relatives in China are grieving and want to know the outcome of the case involving the alleged murderer fo Princess Chongyu",Mr. Chonglin said in a sad mood. Meanwhile, the murder case of Princess Chong Yu has commenced at Criminal Court-A at the Temple of Justice with prosecution team requesting for seven working days to enable it get the two medical doctors who performed preliminary examination on the accused after the murderer testified in court. It may be recalled that following the murder, a mental test was conducted by two medical doctors on defendant Mohammeh Konneh and reported that the accused was mentally ill and needed medical attention. The two doctors are currently out of the country giving both the Prosecution and lawyers representing the legal interest of defendant Konneh victim Princess Chongyu to negotiate for the return of both doctors back to Liberia to testify in court.
