Chinese Government Seeks Speedy Trial
 

speedy trial in the murder of a Chinese national, Ms. Jiang Chongyu, by a suspected criminal at the Monrovia Vocational Training Center in Gardnerville this year.

Speaking at the induction program of officers-elect of the National Association of Trial Jdges of Liberia held in Monrovia, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, Zhou Yuxiao, said the loving families of the deceased back home want to know the outcome of their daughter’s death through the judicial system of Liberia.

The late Ms. Jiang, 42, was a bamboo and ratten weaving instructor at the M.V.T.C prior to her death. She was allegedly murdered at her residence on campus by suspect Mohammed Kenneh on July 24.

‘I hope that the case will be tried as soon as possible in order for justice to be held or realized’, said the ambassador

Ambassador Zhou, who recommitted his country’s continuous support to Liberia, expressed hope that the trial of suspect Kanneh will be done very soon to have family of victim back home informed.

He said the Government of the People’s Republic of China will not let Liberia alone, but rather support the country’s reconstruction process.

Meanwhile, the Government of Liberia has finall indicted suspect Kenneh through the grand jury of Montserrado County during the August Term of Court.
