Monrovia, September 4, 2009: Chinese Embassy in Liberia on September 4, 2009, held a farewell reception in honor of its former political counsellor Mr. Gou Haodong upon his departure after 4 years’ tenure in Liberia.

H. E. Ambassador ZHOU Yuxiao delivered a farewell speech by commending Mr. Gou’s diligence, unselfishness and openness during the past 4 years’ work in Chinese Embassy in Liberia and wishing a good future for Mr. Gou’s diplomatic career.

On his part, Mr. Gou Haodong expressed appreciation and gratitude both to H.E. Ambassador’s kindness and his Liberian counterparts for his unforgettable working and personal experiences in Liberia.

Also attended the reception were the diplomats in the Embassy and those distinguished Liberian guests working along with Mr. Gou who also made their tributes to Mr. Gou’s fruitful work in Liberia.

Filling Mr. Gou's position as the political counsellor is Mr. Li Zhigong, a diplomat veteran newly arrived in Monrovia at the end of last month.
