Chinese Ambassador Meets LICFO Executives

On October 17, 2007, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China accredited to Liberia, Zhou Yuxiao, reiterated his commitment in working with the government and people of Liberia.  He made the statement during an acquaintance meeting with the executives of the Liberia-China Friendship Organization.

Speaking earlier during the meeting, Ambassador Zhou pointed out that his mission in Liberia is to promote win-win relations and expressed his preparedness to work with the government and any friendly group of Liberians especially LICFO for the promotion of a long lasting relation between Liberia and China.

For his part, the President of LICFO, Siafa Sheriff, welcomed the Chinese Envoy to Liberia and said LICFO is prepared to work with the embassy to make his mission successful, as the organization did with the latter's predecessor.

The Chairman of the board of Directors of LICFO, Hon Philipbert S. Browne, told Ambassador Zhou that Liberians are appreciative of the assistance which the government and people of China is giving to Liberia.  He said there is a lot that Liberia can learn from China to help improve the country's economic sector.
