Ambassador Zhou Yuxiao has been busy paying curtsey calls on top and senior Liberian officials from all three arms of government since his arrival.

By now, he has met with the President, the Vice President, all the cabinet ministers, the President Pro tempore of the Senate, the House Speaker, the Chief Justice and etc. 

He assured all those who granted him audiences that he would work as hard as his predecessor Ambassador Lin did to promote bilateral relations in all fields while seeking their full support and assistance in fulfilling his mission in Liberia in the few years to come.

He informed them that he would, at the moment, focus his attention on the implementation of the results of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation held in November 2006 as well as the agreements reached and signed during the visits to China by President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf in October 2006 and to Liberia by President Hu Jintao in February 2007 and that his next step was to encourage Chinese business sector to make investments in Liberia.
